Who Handles Your Information?

When You Ask About a Table

We need your first and last name, email, phone number, visit date, arrival time and number of guests to identify your request, contact you and arrange your visit. Without those details we cannot handle an online request; you can call the pub instead. Your occasion and message are optional.

We process these details to take the steps you request before arranging your visit. A member of the team reviews your request; the website does not automatically decide whether your table is confirmed. A request is not a confirmed reservation until the team replies.

The request is saved in Sherlock’s staff system and a notification is sent to our welcome@sherlockdenhaag.nl inbox so the team can review and reply. Please do not enter payment information or sensitive personal details in the message box. Speak to the team directly about allergies or access requirements.

Access and Hosting

Reservation information is handled by authorised Sherlock staff. The website and reservation service are hosted through STRATO. Your contact details are not displayed on the public website.

How Long We Keep Information

We retain a request for as long as needed to arrange the visit and deal with relevant follow-up. Unresolved questions or disputes may require particular records to be kept longer. Any records required by law are retained for that separate purpose, not for ongoing marketing.

Website Security and Cookies

The reservation form uses a technical cookie and a temporary form-security token. Technical identifiers derived from your connection help limit repeated requests and prevent misuse. This supports our legitimate interest in keeping the website and reservation service secure and available.

These pages do not load advertising trackers or visitor analytics. Google Maps connects to Google when you choose “Show Map”. Google receives information about your visit and may use cookies. If you select “Remember My Choice for 30 Days”, we save that preference in this browser and load the map automatically during that period. “Hide Map and Forget Choice” removes the map and your saved preference; it does not remove cookies already set by Google. You can use the address and directions link without enabling the embedded map. Links to Instagram and Facebook open those services, where their own privacy practices apply. Sending a request does not sign you up for marketing.

Your Privacy Rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, object to processing, or receive a portable copy where the relevant right applies. Contact the pub using the details above. We may need to verify who is making the request before sharing personal information.

You can also make a complaint to the Dutch privacy regulator, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
